20 Years Later: What Happened Here?
20 Years Later: What Happened Here? is a piece created to reward curiosity and discovery. On the surface level the piece appears to be very simplistic, but upon further inspection the viewer will discover a detailed and complex scene, hidden inside the sculpture. This scene depicts the inside of a ruined office building twenty years after an unknown event occurred, leaving the building empty and abandoned. Twenty years later, mother nature has begun reclaiming what is rightfully hers. Rainfall and erosion has caused the roof of the building to collapse, leaving behind rubble and space for greenery to grow. What exactly happened to cause the abandonment and destruction of this scene is left entirely up to the viewer to piece together and ask themselves what happened here?
UNI Public Art Incubator 2024-2025
While attending classes at UNI, I have had the opportunity to work as a fabricator with UNI’s Public Art Incubator. At the incubator we work to fabricate and restore sculptures at a local, regional, and national level across the United States. The following gallery depicts images of works I had the pleasure of working on.
